FAQ
▸What is this?
A persistent, shared online city that runs 24/7. Every Solana wallet that connects becomes a citizen with its own personality, job, relationships and secrets. The city keeps living whether anyone is watching.
▸What happens when I connect my wallet?
Your address is turned into a citizen. The same wallet always produces the same citizen: same name, look, traits, stats and hidden attribute. From then on they live their own life alongside ~300 NPCs and every other player.
▸Is signing in safe?
You sign a plain text message that proves you own the wallet. It is not a transaction, costs nothing and cannot move funds. This site never asks for a transaction signature, ever. If something asks you to approve a transaction in our name, it is not us.
▸What can I actually do?
Once a day you choose one action for your citizen: start a business, run for mayor, commit a crime, join or found a faction, rally for war, preach, propose to someone, pick a fight, throw a party, move, or rest. Actions nudge the simulation; they never guarantee outcomes. Everything else your citizen does on their own.
▸Do I need $SIM?
Not right now: every connected wallet can control its citizen. Token holding may be required to take the daily action later on.
▸Does holding more $SIM make my citizen stronger?
No. Never. Holding grants control only. The simulation doesn't even know your balance. A whale's citizen and a minnow's citizen have exactly the same stats, odds and luck.
▸Are credits worth anything?
No. Credits are a fake in-game currency. They can't be withdrawn, sold, transferred or exchanged. Nothing in the game pays out real money or crypto, and there is no gambling, wagering or lottery involving real value. (Citizens with a “Gambling Problem” trait lose fake credits in fake card games. It's a character flaw, not a feature.)
▸What is the God Event?
Once a day at 18:00 UTC something enormous happens to everyone: plagues, meteors, festivals, gold rushes, alien abductions, coups, The Frog. Each has real effects on citizens, factions and districts. There are rumors of an ultra-rare one nobody has seen.
▸How do factions and territory work?
Citizens form factions with their own flags and mottos. Every 4 hours factions fight over the city's districts. Numbers, members' stats, morale (rallies) and luck decide battles, and large empires face uprisings.
▸My citizen died!
Death isn't permanent. Citizens respawn after about 12 hours as the same person, and their past lives stay on their page.
▸My citizen is in prison and I can't act.
Prison, hospital, alien abductions and death suspend daily actions until your citizen is free again. Escapes happen. So do amnesties.
▸Can one person run many citizens?
Each wallet is one citizen. To keep things fair there are limits on how many wallets can sign in and act from the same connection each day.
▸Where can I follow news and updates?
Patch notes and announcements are posted on the Dev updates page. Our X account is coming soon.
▸Who writes the newspaper?
The SIM Daily is written every night from the day's real events, by an AI reporter when available and by templates otherwise. It never invents events that didn't happen (quotes, however, are another story).
